Cummins Westport Heavy-Duty Natural Gas Engines
Cummins Westport spark-ignited, dedicated natural gas engines can operate on compressed natural gas (CNG), liquefied natural gas (LNG), or biomethane which meet Cummins published fuel specifications. Natural gas or methane, is a clean, abundant, and safe form of energy. With biomethane being produced from landfill gas, food, or animal wastes, an abundant supply of clean, renewable energy is also available.

In North America, Cummins Westport offers the ISL G - an 8.9 liter engine with 250-320 hp and 1,000 lb-ft peak torque. The ISL G is well suited for work truck applications such as refuse, vocational and dump trucks, medium- and heavy-duty truck and tractor applications, and mixers. The ISL G is offered as a factory option from leading truck manufacturers.

The ISL G shares over 80% of its parts with the ISL diesel – engine block, crankshaft, connecting rods, accessory drives, bearings, etc. This provides proven reliability and durability, ensures better parts availability, and provides for ease of installation.
