It’s not just commercial vehicles that need tune-ups

Over the last several years, unprecedented challenges have ushered in new solutions for interacting with others — often in a zero-contact environment. However, we can’t accomplish everything behind a computer or with a cell phone. This rings especially true for work truck industry fleets and the fieldwork that goes hand-in-hand with fleet management.

In previous articles, we’ve emphasized the value of good communication. But keep in mind this goes well beyond emails, phone calls, virtual meetings or online training. To stay sharp within the commercial vehicle space, it’s time to get back in the field.

Look at this as an opportunity to give yourself and your staff a tune-up. New technologies and products are constantly being introduced into the market as the industry continues to evolve. And it can be difficult to get a true feel for industry trends by simply engaging in a virtual experience.

Work Truck Week, held March 7–10 in Indianapolis, Indiana, offers fleets a once-a-year opportunity to learn firsthand from industry experts about emerging innovation, regulations and strategies to align their organizations with the industry as a whole. Beyond the classroom, attendees can meet with key suppliers, see the latest commercial vehicles, equipment and products, and connect with the work truck community.

Green Truck Summit, held Tuesday, March 7, in conjunction with Work Truck Week, is the industry’s advanced fuels and vehicle technology conference. Featuring insights from government representatives, industry experts, and vehicle and equipment manufacturers, choose from a variety of sessions that address the evolution of the commercial vehicle landscape as the shift toward zero emissions continues to accelerate.

Work Truck Week Ride & Drive, March 8–9, offers a hands-on experience with the latest advanced fuels and technologies, sustainability offerings and propulsion systems. Meet key suppliers and test-drive or ride in the newest vehicles. Participation is available to all Work Truck Week attendees (no separate Ride & Drive registration is necessary).
