Industry Data

The Green Truck Association strives to provide members with key industry statistics and market data relating to green commercial vehicles and equipment. With this critical market intelligence, members can improve their decision-making and business planning processes. The most relevant Department of Energy (DOE) statistics relating to alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles have been compiled exclusively for GTA members, and are continually updated.

GTA members can login to access DOE data, including:

  • Estimated consumption of alternative fuels
  • Current and projected number of on-road alternative fuel and hybrid vehicles
  • Estimated number of in-use alternative fuel vehicles.

This information is segmented by vehicle class; fuel, supplier and vehicle type; and configuration. Additional data on alternative fuels and other energy sources is available from the U.S. Energy Information Administration at www.eia.doe.gov

GTA members are welcome to contact NTEA Market Data & Research Director Steve Latin-Kasper at stevelk@ntea.com or (414) 294-3408 with questions or for further clarification on any of the data and insight provided. Steve has nearly 30 years of experience as an economist in the transportation industry and was named one of the country’s top economists in 2008 by Bloomberg Networks.
