Steelweld Equipment Company (St. Clair, MO) confirmed their participation in the ACT “Alternative Clean Transportation” Expo, scheduled to take place at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center on May 4-6, 2011 in Long Beach, CA. This event is the nation’s largest alternative fuel and clean vehicle technology event and is positioned to convene one of the largest gatherings ever of alternative fuel vehicles, equipment, technologies, fuel and infrastructure providers, and industry experts. Steelweld is proud to play a role in the discussion of alternative fuel and clean transportation technology by participating as an exhibitor in this key event.
As an industry leader in converting vehicles to run on Compressed Natural Gas, Steelweld’s participation in the ACT Expo will showcase knowledge and experience, providing attendees the opportunity to learn why Natural Gas has been dubbed, “America’s Energy Answer.”
As an alternative Fuel option, CNG has been gaining momentum and a larger infrastructure has, in turn, been established…making the conversion process make that much more sense. As fuel prices rise and the desire to buy American commodities grows, Compressed Natural Gas bridges that gap by saving consumers more than 40% compared to gasoline with an abundant natural resource produced right here in America…making the U.S. less dependent on foreign oil. Another advantage? Recent analyses estimate that NGVs produce up to 20 – 30 percent less greenhouse gas emissions than comparable diesel and gasoline fueled vehicles, making a fleet ‘greener’ and more efficient.
ACT Expo will highlight the growing base of fuels and vehicle technologies available in the market today and will discuss the opportunities, challenges, and successes faced by recent infrastructure developments and vehicle deployment projects. Steelweld partners with the ACT Expo to highlight the advantages that converting to CNG can bring to fleets today.
The Expo will attract a wide North American audience, with participation also expected from public and private organizations from throughout Asia, Europe and other continents. Attendance from fleet managers and operators of fleets of all sizes will be a key component of the event’s wide-ranging appeal and timely relevance.
The ACT Expo will take place at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center on May 5 and 6, 2011. The technical site tours will take place on May 4, 2011.
