Ford Pro announces new Elite Customer Service program; E-Transit one year anniversary at WTW23


Every Ford Pro customer needs a trusted source for acquisition, upfit and service. In the U.S., Ford has over 650 specialized Commercial Vehicle Center dealers, all EV-certified, providing this coverage backed by local expertise.

The Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service program is an extension of that promise by expanding Ford’s strong network of CV centers by adding 120 dedicated, large-bay service hubs across the United States with extended hours and rapid turnaround—to improve productivity, lower cost of ownership, and increase uptime.

These new Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service centers are aimed squarely at helping commercial customers work better, with productive, durable, and smart vehicles and connected services.

The first facility opened in January and several more will open and break ground this year, including one in Texas in mid-April. Much like the Commercial Vehicle Centers, Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service centers will also offer mobile service—expanding the footprint of services that come to where our customers work—improving overall fleet uptime.

Mobile Service: Over 900 mobile service vans are in operation today, with the goal of 2,100 to be deployed by the end of 2023.

Each Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service center will have a minimum of 24 service bays for Class 1-7 commercial vehicles, will service Ford and non-Ford makes and models, and will be required to meet minimum facility EV standards and requirements to meet the needs of the entire lineup of Ford commercial vehicles.

To meet commercial customers’ need to be flexible with their downtime, Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service centers will be open a minimum of 72 hours and six days per week to help fleets when the unexpected happens or when commercial warranty, customer-pay, or recall service work is required.

E-Transit one-year anniversary
A year after making its North American debut, the Ford E-Transit™ van has established itself as the leader of the pack in the all-electric commercial cargo van market.

E-Transit is the best-selling electric cargo van in the United States1 and Canada2, as well as the sales leader in Europe.3 As demand for the vehicle rises, Ford announced last week it will be boosting E-Transit production at Kansas City Assembly Plant starting next month.

“Businesses looking to adopt battery electric technology is happening at a global scale, and E-Transit – along with the Ford Pro™ one-stop shop of software, services and charging solutions – is at the forefront of that revolution,” said Ted Cannis, Ford Pro CEO. “In its first year on the road, E-Transit has made an immediate impact, and we are just getting started.”

While other automakers are still announcing plans to bring electric vans to market, E-Transit has made sharp inroads into driving EV adoption. In the U.S., 6,500 E-Transit vans were sold through December 20224 – including in all 50 states1 – accounting for more than 60% of the electric van market.

Across the United States and Canada, customers have logged more than 12 million miles since the all-electric van arrived in February 20225. In that time, Ford Pro™ E-Telematics data shows that E-Transit drivers have saved more than 745,000 gallons of gas and more than 4.3 million kilograms of CO2 as compared to comparably sized gas-powered Transit® vans.

The versatile vans, which includes chassis cab and cutaway models, offer customers eight configurations to serve a wide range of business types, helping make it the market leader in 28 of 30 industries recognized by S&P Global.
